Whether it’s playing for fun or a future career in music, South West Rocks is the place to be!
The Live music scene has exploded in the UK over recent years, and the thirst for quality live music is greater than ever. International Guitar Foundation (IGF) is proud to be at the forefront of this musical revolution presenting a series of performance based rock camps for young aspiring and accomplished musicians to learn, create and perform.
South West Rocks is a five-day rock camp jam packed with workshops and activities to challenge and inspire the stars of tomorrow. Set in the scenic back of Bath, students will have the opportunity to improve their technique and musicianship with other players, at the same time as learning about the music industry and session scene from a host of professionals. Students will also have the chance to take part in a range of live performances during the five days including jam sessions, band rehearsals and the student showcase on the final day.
This mixture of performance and education offers a unique benchmark opportunity for budding musicians to maximize their talents, network and socialise with new friends and become the next U2 or Foo Fighters!
Workshops take the form of open classes with something to suit every level of ability. For beginners, Rock Apprentice will ease you as you become a Guitar Hero in waiting, and the Monster of Rock programme will help train players to build power and effective solos. If you’re not a guitarist don’t fret there are also workshops for singers, bass players and drummers of all abilities.
